  1. Call to Order and Establish Quorum
  2. Public Comment-None at this point
  3. Consider Approval of Report on State Compensatory Education Funds for Fiscal Year 2002-presented by Mr. Wylie Webb and Mrs. Rice-APPROVED
  4. Discuss and Consider Proposal by the Concho Valley Tennis Association for a 14-Court, Shared-Use Tennis Facility-tabled until next regular meeting
  5. Consideration of Implementation of Program(s) Change-presented by Dr. Pugh to explain the current financial situation of the district      
  6. Consideration of Instituting a Reduction in Force for Professional Staff-The administration presented a possible 3.4 million in reductions to allow for options in making a proposed 2.9 million in reductions.  These categories under consideration will remain as they currently function:  athletics, school service workers, nurses, health services coordinator, elementary art teachers, and at-risk     coordinators.  Of the suggested reductions on the high school campuses, Central will keep athletic trainers, drafting, metal trades, and theatre arts intact.  Lake View will keep metal trades and instrumental music intact. Public comment was given by Kathy Larsen, Glenda Gates, Dylan McDougall, Howard Taylor, Valerie Ramirez, Shirley Oliphant, Aaron Beck, Connie Williams, Cindy Lee, Kim Baucom, Debra Sanders, Dana Harris, Amanda Hill, Dr. Joe Wilkinson, Dr. Vernon Ryan, Max Parker, Terry Reisner, Jerry Bell, Toby Walker, Forrest Breeden, Don Levinski, Randol Stout, Clarissa Darby, Chip Reynolds, Cameron Burdine, Laura Elms, Ricky Boyle, Lisa Boyle, Terra Chick, Joann Walter, Randy Hutchins, David Green, Kay Scoggin, Bill Cullen, Bill Waters, and Peggy Hodges.  All additional recommendations for reduction in force from Central and Lake View were accepted along with all other secondary recommendations (including junior highs and middle school).  A total savings of 2.1 million was realized from action taken at this meeting.
