STEM Kids Camp Brings Learning to Life

STEM Kids Camp Brings Learning to Life

San Angelo ISD students participated in the annual STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Kids Camp this week. The goal of the camp was to bring learning to life in a fun and engaging manner at no cost to students.

About 200 2nd through 5th graders explored activities such as Makerspace, Ozobots, Science, and Coding. The sessions were taught by SAISD teachers and divided by grade level.

The following safety protocols were observed during the camp to keep all staff and students safe:

  • All participants age 10 and older wore facemasks when social distancing could not be observed.
  • The number of students per classroom was limited to 10.
  • Supplies were not shared between students.
