Registration for the 2019-2020 School Year

Registration will soon be underway for the 2019-2020 school year. Whether your child is new to SAISD or a returning student, you will find all the information you need below about registering in one of our schools.

New SAISD Students

Parents of students who will be attending school in San Angelo ISD for the first time will need to visit the student’s future campus to enroll the student and provide necessary documentation for the 2019-2020 school year.

All new students to SAISD will be required to provide the following documents.

  • Proof of Residence (Utility Bill, Water, Electric, Gas, etc.)
  • Student's Social Security Number
  • Student's Birth Certificate
  • Updated Shot Records
  • Last Report Card (if applicable)
  • Custody/Guardian documents (if applicable)

If you are unsure which campus your child will attend, you may refer to the SAISD Attendance Zone maps, or enter your address into our Infofinder School Finder System.

Registration procedures vary between elementary and secondary campuses. Please see below for more information.


Students who will be attending Prekindergarten this fall are invited to enroll at their elementary school beginning July 29. Parents can register their students at their home campus from 8:00am to 11:00am and from 1:30pm to 4:00pm. To be eligible for prekindergarten, children must be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2019 and must also meet ONE of the following requirements: unable to speak and comprehend the English language, homeless, foster child, meet federal income guidelines, military eligibility, is or has been in the conservatorship of the Department of Family & Protective Services following an adversary hearing held as provided by Section 262.201, Family Code. Elementary Students

Parents will be able to register their children for kindergarten through 5th grade beginning July 29 at their home campus. Elementary campuses will be open for registration from 8:00am to 11:00am and from 1:30pm to 4:00pm.  If your child did not attend a San Angelo ISD school last year, please bring the required documents to your child's elementary school. To register for kindergarten in a San Angelo ISD school, your child must be five years old on or before September 1.

Parents of returning elementary students should have preregistered in the spring.  If you did not preregister, or if you need to update any personal information or verify your registration status, please contact your campus beginning July 29 to do so. Middle School Students

Registration for all new and returning middle school students will take place Wednesday through Friday, August 7-9 from 10:00am to 6:00pm at all three middle schools campuses.  All students must attend a registration time with a parent/guardian. If your child did not attend a San Angelo ISD school last year, please bring the required documents with you to registration.

High School Students

New and returning High School students will be required to attend a registration session during the school's registration period to provide the required and/or missing documentation and finalize the enrollment process. This is also the time that students will get textbooks, pick up schedules, tour the campus, etc. Registration dates and times vary from campus to campus and in some cases an appointment may be required. Please contact your child's campus or refer to the attachments below for more information.

Online Enrollment for Secondary Students

Parents of returning middle and high school students are encouraged to update student information online. This will expedite the in-person registration process. Online registration will be available for secondary students via Home Access Center through September 6. To complete online enrollment, parents will need to have an active Home Access Center Account and a contact email on record. If you do not have an account, please contact your child’s campus office. Parents or guardians who choose to take advantage of online enrollment will still need to visit their student’s campus during the school's registration period, but completing the online enrollment will cut down on paperwork and save parents time.
