SAISD to Offer STEM Kids Camp
May 7, 2018
San Angelo ISD is excited to offer a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Kids Camp this summer to current 3rd - 8th grade SAISD students. Our goal is to bring STEM to life in a fun, engaging manner, and at no charge to students.
This one day event will be held on June 21, 2018, from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm in the Sousa Building at Central High School. Students will participate in two sessions: a three-hour morning session and a three-hour afternoon session, both taught by SAISD teachers. Sessions are divided by grade level and include topics such as Coding with Dash, Minecraft Edu, 3D Modeling, and Rocketry. Each student will receive a free STEM Kids Camp t-shirt, free lunch and snacks, and a take-home project. As a culminating event, parents will be invited to watch a brief video of the day and attend a student showcase featuring students’ work.
Online registration opens May 9 at 8:00 am and closes May 11 at 6:00 pm. Enrollment is granted on a first-come first-served basis. Parents will be notified of enrollment or waitlist on May 17. Full session descriptions and registration can be found at www.saisd.org/stemkidscamp. If you have questions, please email email@example.com.
