UIL Releases Biennial Realignments

February 1, 2018

Thursday, February 1 was UIL Realignment Day, the biennial University Interscholastic League reclassification and realignment for Texas high school athletics, which determines what classification and what districts schools play sports in for the next two years.

Central High School is now part of District 3-6A in all sports and will compete against Weatherford, North Richland Hills Richland, Hurst LD Bell, Haltom City, Euless Trinity, and Abilene High.

Lake View High School, which is dropping down in classification from 5A to 4A, will now be part of a split district. In football, the Chiefs will compete in District 2-4A with Andrews, Big Spring and Seminole. In all other sports, Lake View will compete in District 5-4A with Big Spring, Midland Greenwood, Snyder and Sweetwater.

The new alignments were established by enrollment figures submitted to the UIL by its member schools in October.
